Mat Pilates:
Pilates has been used by dancers and athletes to strengthen muscles and increase flexibility. It’s also used in rehabilitation from back, knee or other surgeries. Mat Pilates is done on the floor and focuses on stabilizing the core against the movement of external limbs, breathing, pelvic placement and neutral alignment. It’s important to have a trained instructor to get maximum benefit with minimal risk.

Pilates on the V2Max @ MAC Timonium:
Total body strenthening using the STOTT's V2Max, which allows students to do essential level mat, Reformer and Cadillac exercises. Focus on increased core stability and strength and fine tuning muscles for improved posture, build core strength and reduced pain. Small group classes (5 students maximum) for personalized attention. Special fees apply and advanced registration is required, no previous pilates experienced required. MAC members - $150 for 6-week session. non-members - $200 for 6-week session.

Reformer Pilates:
Each exercise targets specific muscles to increase stability, mobility, coordination, balance and flexibility. Classes are generally 3-5 people. Reformer exercises only should be done under the supervision of a trained professional. (Essential/Intro, Essential, Essential/Intermediate, and Intermediate Reformer available).
